London Marathon 2014

One of the things I truly believe in is doing good for others. One of those ways is by supporting charities. Whether it’s by donating money, or taking action and giving your time to do something that raises awareness and/or money for certain charities it makes a difference. So with that, I will always support my friends who take the time and make the effort to do something good.

One of those friends is Maayan. Me and her go way back and have been friends for more than 10 years (yes it has really been that long already!). This Sunday, April 13, she is running the London Marathon. A very amazing thing to do by itself but she’s not just running it, she’s trying to raise money for a UK charity called The Prince’s Trust.

Below you’ll find a letter from Maayan explaining about her run and also a link to her just giving page to help her raise money. And if you can’t help out by donating money (which we all understand in this day and age) there is always something else you can do, like sharing this page on social media so others get to read about her efforts too.

Dear friends and fellow runners,

I will be running the London Marathon this Sunday, 13 April and I am writing you to ask for you support.

With a few shorter races under my belt, the London Marathon is my second attempt at 26.2 miles and I am quite excited to be running it on more familiar territory.

The London Marathon, like many other big races, is extremely popular and heavily over subscribed. I have been fortunate enough to obtain a spot in the race through the Prince’s Trust and in return have committed to raise £3,000. The Prince’s Trust is a UK charity which gives practical and educational support to young people to help them get their lives back on track.

I would be extremely grateful for any support you are able to give. Donations can be made at my page on justgiving.com and are really simple, fast and totally secure.

Thank you very much for your support and keep a look out for me on Sunday if you are in London or watching the marathon on TV!

Maayan

No matter what way you can help, please know it is very much appreciated! Thank you so much.
