Book: Flight

Dragonmaster Trilogy book 2 by Katie Cross

This is the next book in the Dragonmaster Trilogy and it continues the story of Isadora and Sanna Spence. Isador and Sanna are sisterwitches and have lived in Letum Wood with the other Dragonmaster families their whole lives. But now the time has come for them to spread their wings and fly.

Sanna is bonded with the dragon Luteis and leading the brood of forest dragons falls on her. While her sister Isadora is developing and discovering her Watcher skills and capabilities. Both of them are taken out of the place they know best and forced to move away from their home in Letum Wood.

As Isadora is working with her mentor Maximillion she unexpectedly gets involved in a dangerous situation where she will have to face a powerfull enemy:  Cecilia Bianchi. Her life will depend on whether she can control her magic and Watcher skills.

Find Who You Were Always Meant To Be

While Isadora fights against Cecilia, Sanna has to face an enemy of her own. While she is reluctantly leading the brood of forest dragons, she gets tangled up in a war of magic, dragons and gods with their own plans.

Both sisters have no idea what they are capable of, yet they have to find it within themselves to grow into their full potential.  While we follow them both on their journey in this book we get to watch them grow, learn and discover who they were always meant to be.

There’s something beautiful in that, and I think it’s something we all can take away from this. Find our inner potential and become who we were always meant to be.

Watch Them Grow

Katie Cross always amazes me with her books, and this one was no exception. I loved how we get to see both Isadora and Sanna’s journeys. How we get to watch them grow, find their wings, fly and become the two powerhouses we met in the Network series. Their sisterly relationship is an interesting one and I really like how both of these fierce ladies fight for what they feel is good in this world.

The characters are easy to like and you’ll find yourself rooting for them rather quickly. They are not perfect, they have a lot to learn still and that makes them relatable. I can’t wait to see where their story goes next and what they will do with their newfound abilities.

If you’re into dragons, magic and bad-ass witches I think you’ll really enjoy the Dragonmaster series.
